Dental Lace meets two of the IMPACT Requirements: Individual Responsibility and Materials. 

Dental Lace’s mission is to supply a refillable dental floss that is 99% zero waste. Their dental floss comes in a glass container with a stainless-steel cap that is 100% Mulberry silk, bags are certified compostable, and boxes are 100% post-consumer paperboard. The 1% waste is the waterproof label on the reusable container (which stays on despite uses). Currently, Dental Lace’s floss is the only refillable eco-friendly dental floss out there—each reusable container replaces seven plastic ones. 

Jodi and her husband Jim first founded Dental Lace when they first researched about the impact empty floss dispensers have on plastic pollution and landfill usage. They were astonished by its waste and decided to dedicate their time to creating beautiful floss containers in order to eliminate plastic dental floss and become zero waste.

Dental Lace incorporates sustainability through their products as well as a social impact through their platform.
