Headbands of Hope meets two of the IMPACT Requirements: Acts of Kindness and Charitable Proceeds. 

Headbands of Hope aims to donate a headband to a child with an illness for every item purchased. As of now, they have donated over 560,000 headbands around the world. Especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, Headbands of Hope donates one mask to a healthcare professional with every item purchased.

Headbands of Hope was founded by Jessica Ekstrom from her college dorm in 2012. On a photography trip to Disney World, Jess met so many kids, with life-threatening illnesses, that were there on their wish from wish-granting organizations. After her experience, Jess wanted to help kids with cancer feel confident during their tough times—the perfect way to do so, through headbands. Over the years, Headbands of Hope has expanded not just to children with cancer, but to also bring joy to all children. 

Each headband drives a phenomenal social impact on children combating any illness. In hopes to also create change, Headbands of Hope donate to childhood illness charities where they donate 10% of their sales to the nonprofits. Beyond their products, Headbands of Hope has started a program that allows the kids to design and create their own headbands.
