Kolpa meets two of the IMPACT Requirements: Individual Responsibility and Materials.

Kolpa World’s mission is to serve customers with products that come from tradition. Born in the sweeping mountain ranges of Nepal, Kolpa’s humble vision is to handcraft products exclusively from Nepal. Their social enterprise works alongside various small cottage industries and family-run or community-run businesses in Nepal. With their local manufacturers, Kopla is committed to better their lives, economically and socially. Even so, their business serves ethically to their makers with equal share of profit and safe labor. 

Kolpa’s design glimpses at works of true craftsmanship. Each of their products are made from local raw materials that have been used in Nepal for generations—for instance, Tooni wood, sustainably sourced from the accessible forest of Nepal. Beyond their manufacturing process, Kolpa wants to promote a social mission cultivated to increase customer quality of life—their ultimate goal is customer satisfaction.
