Schmidt’s meets two of the IMPACT Requirements: Individual Responsibility and Materials.

Schmidt’s creates plant-powered, natural deodorants for everyday use—all are artificial fragrance-free. Schmidt’s founder, Jaime Schmidt, first started making natural skincare products in her kitchen in Portland in 2010. With hours of research and different natural recipes, Jamie finally figured out the best deodorant formula. And thus Schmidt’s deodorant began in 2015 when Jamie teamed up with an entrepreneur: Michael Cammarata. 

Each product by Schmidt’s is carefully formulated by their DIY principles incorporating various natural, plant or mineral based ingredients, especially essential oils. In fact, they are certified plant-based, vegan, and cruelty-free. An unique part of each product is that Schmidt’s allows for recycling of a customer’s used Schmidt’s deodorant—five old ones for one new item. Overall, Schmidt’s contributes to a border sustainability and social impact with their platform.
