Thistle Farms meets one of the IMPACT Requirements: People. 

Thistle Farms is a diverse lifestyle store encompassing candles, body products, essential oils, home decor, apparel, and more. For more than 20 years now, Thistle Farms aims to create a path of healing and hope for survivors of trafficking, prostition, and addiction. In fact, the founder, Becca Stevens, longed for a safe space for female survivors after experiencing child abuse when she was 5. And so, in 1997, Becca established the first Thistle Farms-like sanctuary with 5 survivors. Eventually, after four years, her sanctuary progressed into a candle-making business as well as a social enterprise of Thistle Farms. 

Each product from Thistle Farms is crafted in slow batches and eco-consciously. They ensure that the healing process is embodied with their products to sustain safe and supportive financial independence, housing, and community to survivors. With their everlasting mission directed towards recovery from prostitution, trafficking, and addiciton, Thistle Farms ensures a living-wage and meaningful job for survivors.
