I really don’t know where to start to be honest, last time I wrote my blog was when I was in Kathmandu. A lot has happened since. Shree Suryodhoye Primary School is built and kids are currently attending school. I was unable to stay until the end of construction because I had accepted a job offer in the USA as a Transportation Engineer at Connecticut Department of Transportation. The school had its opening ceremony on June 3rd, 2016.
Here are some pictures from the opening ceremony.

I am going back to Nepal on Feb to establish a computer class at the school. I am really excited to go back and see the kids, villagers, Amar dai, Bimala dd and Sarada miss. I hope they are doing well.
I have also started a company called Impact Mart with Lanna Nawa. We are a ecommerce retail store that sell ethical products such as clothings, pet supplies, jewelry, household supplies, kids, etc. We recently got into a reSET program in Hartford and really looking forward to help grow Impact Mart. Our end goal is to establish a storefront retail shop. I am really thrilled and excited to be part of this new journey.
As I look forward to a New Year, I always think of kids, Amar dai, Bimala dd and Sarada dd from Ramche. Though we’re miles apart, you are always in my thoughts and prayers. Happy New Year, with gratitude.
2016 was a great year. I graduated from Uconn (Dec 2015 was when I graduated but the ceremony took place in May 2016), built a school in Nepal, got a job, started a company called Impact Mart, learned snowboarding and skiing. I hope 2017 will be another great year ahead to learn, grown and repeat.
Happy New Year to Everyone!
