The Suryadhoye Primary School located in Ramche 4, Sindupalchowk, Nepal went through rough times. Photographed below is the August 2014 landslide.
Unfortunately, sometimes when it rains, it pours. In April 2015 a devasting earthquake hit Nepal killing and injuring more than 29,000. The school was destroyed in the middle of its reconstruction.
With the help of our Connecticut community, our Program Development Director, Saroj Bhandari, raised over $9,000 in the U.S. summer and fall of 2015
And flew to Nepal to get to work with our partner NGO "The Survivors", and the tenacious community
The school was built
Classes started June 4, 2016!
